Hawkeye Tech’s DPU Accelerator HCB-5421 Earns Official Certification from Red Hat

Certification ensures seamless compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and validates high-performance acceleration for cloud, edge, and data center workloads.

September 2025 – Hawkeye Tech, Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that its cutting-edge Data Processing Unit, the DPU Accelerator HCB-5421, has officially received certification from Red Hat. This significant milestone underscores Hawkeye Tech’s commitment to delivering high-performance, enterprise-grade hardware that excels in demanding modern workloads.

Red Hat Certification Validated

The DPU Accelerator HCB-5421 is now verified as Red Hat certified hardware, ensuring full compatibility and reliability with Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 9.6 through the latest minor releases on x86_64 architecture. This certification guarantees that customers deploying the HCB-5421 alongside Red Hat’s ecosystem — spanning RHEL, OpenShift, OpenStack, and the Ansible Automation Platform — will benefit from tested interoperability, trusted lifecycle management, and the joint support of Red.

About the HCB-5421

Built on the powerful OCTEON 10 DPU family by Marvell, the HCB-5421 leverages ARM Neoverse N2 cores to meet the high-performance demands of hyperscale cloud environments, 5G transport and RAN systems, edge inferencing, carrier and enterprise data centers, and fanless networking edge deployments. It features innovative inline Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence hardware accelerators delivering up to 100× performance gains over software-based inferencing, combined with an integrated 1 Terabit switch, inline crypto acceleration, and programmable packet processing. Supporting data-plane speeds beyond 400 Gbit/s, the HCB-5421 also offers cutting-edge connectivity via DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 interfaces.

The specific variant, HCB-5421-0101 (HSC-5361), is equipped with Marvell CN106XX ARM Neoverse N2 cores — up to 24 cores at 2.5 GHz — alongside up to 48 GB ECC DDR5 memory (3-channel), an MCU (NXP MIMXRT1176), dual 100 GbE QSFP56 ports (with breakout cables), a management RJ45 Ethernet interface, and an M.2 M-Key slot (PCIe 5.0 x2) for SSD expansion.

Why This Matters

Red Hat’s certification represents a seal of assurance: customers can confidently integrate the HCB-5421 within Red Hat-powered infrastructures, knowing it meets stringent standards and benefits from robust support. This alignment reinforces Hawkeye Tech’s strategic positioning within the hybrid cloud and edge computing ecosystems, offering IT architects and systems integrators a proven, high-performance DPU solution optimized for emerging networking and AI workloads.

About Red Hat Hardware Certification

Red Hat’s Hardware Certification program ensures that certified components demonstrate compatibility, lifecycle stability, and supportability with Red Hat platforms. Participants in the program benefit from streamlined deployment, reduced integration risk, and access to a trusted ecosystem across RHEL, OpenShift, and beyond.
